Guidelines

In 2020, more and more IT based skills are sought throughout Japan and recently in elementary schools, IT skills are being taught. However, to put it simply the students are only being taught how to "code" in schools, but our purpose is to hopefully give the skills of logical thinking, ability to take action, and the power to produce something through coding.

Therefore, for the purpose of raising awareness of the importance of programming education, we will hold a contest to compete for works and ideas using programming. We hope that this event will not only promote understanding of programming which will be compulsory education in elementary schools from 2020, but also improve children's ability to produce, think, and express themselves.

Also, we hope that this event will be an opportunity for children to compete nationwide and enhance each other by making this event a national competition for elementary school students programming in the Okinawa area hosted by the National Newspaper Business Council.

This year will be a pre-convention for 2021 and will be streamed online from the perspective of expanding COVID-19 infection prevention.
